FEAS EMC Filters

With this development, an optimal form of AC / DC converter for well regulated DC voltage is achieved. The principle works as follows: The input AC voltage is converted after filtering and rectifying with a pulse width modulated semiconductor switch in a high-frequency wave-like pulsating voltage and transformed by means of the transformer to the secondary side in the required voltage level. Then it is rectified and filtered again. The regulator circuit compares these with a reference and thus defines the switching cycles for the semiconductor switches. As a result, the transmitted energy is adapted to the current withdrawals. In comparison to the longitudinal regulator principle, this circuit operates with less loss.
